Documents and things you’ll need in order to get good advice at your first initial consultation. (Don’t worry if you don’t have everything)

You can email us copies or bring them with you and we will scan them for you.

BEFORE WE CAN FILE YOUR BANKRUPTCY WE NEED:

Federal Tax Returns for the previous 2 years
State Tax Returns for the previous 2 years
Bank statements for the last 3 months from each of your accounts
California Driver’s License for you and your spouse (Front Only)
Social Security copy from you and your spouse (Front Only)
W2 for the last 6 months
If you are self-employed then I’ll need profit and loss for the last six months
Proof of other types of income such as rental income, child support or alimony
Copies of Wage Garnishments or 1099’s you’ve received for default judgements
Any outstanding loan documents such as financing on a car, home mortgages, or any other secured debt
If you have previously filed for bankruptcy before, we need the location of the court, the case number and the date you filed
Recent statements from creditors or an approximation of how much you owe in unsecured credit card debt

IF YOU OWN A PROPERTY WE NEED:

Real Property Mortgage Statements
Real Property Insurance
A signed authorization letter to release your mortgage statements

IF YOU RECEIVE SOCIAL SECURITY WE NEED:

Debtor pay advices for you and your spouse
